Okay, so it's just a few days left now.
God, I can even count them on my fingers. 1..2..3..4..umm.. a total of 12 days left! :-O
Whilst almost all of us would be quite excited to join the college back (read the Mighty SCIT), there is stil an emotional turmoil which many of us would be undergoing.
How would we leave our loved ones behind? Where would we be at the end of two years?
Innumerable memories come flashing in our minds these days. Of lovely times spent with certain special people, of our families, the comfort zone of our homes and cities. Reminiscences of impromptu Project parties, and lunch outings, and endless bakar sessions with friends and colleagues.
As we leave all these things behind, there lies a promise of bright future ahead! Umm.. supposedly.. :D
Kidding! It does, for sure.
This two-year phase is going to be a determining factor in our lives, on many fronts. We look forward to value and skill addition, maximum participation in all activities with our bubbling enthusiasm, being creative to the hilt, and of course unimaginable enjoyment! :)
So, girls and boys, hop on to the train that goes the SCIT way..
Some light hearted humour
Scene- A boy's house (of course from the 2010-12 batch) ;)
A Sunday!
After repeated attempts of waking up the boy, his mom gives up and goes back to her work.
Finally, at 12 in the 'morning' (sic), the dude obliges the people at his home, and not to forget his bed, by getting up.
Son (scratching his head and rubbing his eyes): Good morning, Mom!
Mom: Morning? Half the day is already gone. Dekh toh, suraj kahan pahunch gaya hai. Aur tune sara time sone mein bita diya!
Go for a bath now, and I'll give you something to eat.
Son (lazing around): Oh, c'mon mom. It's absolutely okay if you skip the process once in a while. I just took a bath yesterday.
Mom (delivering the conventional dialogue): Pata nahi wahan jake kya hoga tera? Packing toh kar le kam se kam. Kitna kam time reh gaya hai. And the haranguing session continues! :D

By now, the Boy has already moved in front of his laptop to socially network, or tweet.
*Just got up!*, *Going to the toilet*, *A lazy Sunday!*
Or better still, he has taken out his Nintendo, oops, XBox 360 now, and other gaming consoles. It's time for some action now. Come on NFS, Warcraft, CS, challenge me if you can!
Fast forward.. 2 days left..
Mom (frantically moving to and fro): When do you plan to pack? I am so worried and tensed.
Boy (still in a chilled out mode with headphones on): There's still a lot of time left. I'm a pro at such things. It'll be done in two hours. Don't you worry, Mom!
Fast forward.. 5 hours to board the train/flight..
Boy: Mom, it's all your fault. You should have reminded me of this earlier.
Mom (infuriated): I told you to do these chores before- a countless number of times. Par tu sune tab na! You are going to miss your train now. Blah blah blah..
Somehow, by the divine grace, the Boy is able to reach the train platform on time. Phew! :D
PS- Boys, please turn a little meticulous.
Moms, please don't freak out and over-react.
Just like that! ;)
